300 M or 150 M

Ride Description

RAID is an annual ride/race across the State of Iowa. The route chosen for RAID 2016 is about 300 miles in length, along Hwy 92, from Council Bluffs to Muscatine. In response to public interest, we have also created two RAID Half rides, about 150 miles each, for those wanting to participate in RAID but not yet ready to tackle the full 300 miles.

For clarify, we differentiate between these events as follows:

  • RAID Full – 300 miles, from Council Bluffs to Muscatine
  • RAID Half AM – 150 miles, from Council Bluffs to Pleasantville
  • RAID Half PM – 150 miles, from Pleasantville to Muscatine

Riders MUST wear helmets and must obey all Iowa traffic laws. This includes stopping at all stop signs and red lights.

Rider & Personal Support Vehicle

If you plan to participate in RAID, you will need to arrange your own vehicle support. It is strongly encouraged that each rider, or group of riders, have their own vehicle support system.

Checkpoints / Rest Stops

There will be five official rest stops with food and water along the way, and a rest stop at the finish line. RAID will supply some nutrition items at these rest stops, but you should not count on these items as being your only source of nutrition. Riders are encouraged to bring their own food items and to utilize their own vehicle support system.
