Race Schedule
RAID Full and RAID Half AM will begin at 4:00 AM at the designated starting line in Council Bluffs. It is strongly suggested that each rider have a sufficiently bright headlamp during these early hours and, at minimum, one tail light. RAID Full and RAID Half AM riders must reach Pleasantville by 4:00 PM. This is a maximum of 12 hours for the first 150 miles.
RAID Half PM will begin at 10:00 AM at the designated starting line in Pleasantville. It is strongly recommended that each rider planning to be on their bike after 6:00 have a sufficiently bright headlamp and, at minimum, one tail light. RAID Full riders, please note that you may need to bring an extra battery for your headlamp or have a way to recharge your battery from the morning’s use.
RAID Full and RAID Half PM riders must finish in Muscatine by 4:00 AM to be an official finisher of RAID. This is a maximum of 24 hours for RAID Full riders to complete 300 miles (12.5 mph), and 18 hours for RAID Half PM riders to complete 150 miles (8.4 mph).
The below schedule allows a full-day rider to ride at 12.5-21 mph. If you ride too fast you will be ahead of schedule and may reach the checkpoint before it is supported. Riders faster than 21 mph should make sure that they are fully self-supported.
