300 M or 150 M

Ride Description

RAID is an annual ride/race across the State of Iowa. The route chosen for RAID 2015 is about 335 miles in length, from Sioux City to Dubuque. In response to public interest, we have also created two RAID Half rides, about 167 miles each, for those wanting to participate in RAID but not yet ready to tackle the full 335 miles.

For clarify, we differentiate between these events as follows:

  • RAID Full – 335 miles, from Sioux City to Dubuque
  • RAID Half AM – 167 miles, from Sioux City to Webster City
  • RAID Half PM – 167 miles, from Webster City to Dubuque

Riders MUST wear helmets and must obey all Iowa traffic laws. This includes stopping at all stop signs and red lights.

Rider numbers will be provided.

Rider & Personal Support Vehicle

If you plan to participate in RAID, you will need to arrange your own vehicle support. RAID will have a limited number of volunteers trying to help with traffic control at key locations during the race, but you should not count on these vehicles being your only source of vehicle support. It is strongly encouraged that each rider, or group of riders, have their own vehicle support system.

Rest Stops

There will be five official rest stops with food and water along the way, and a rest stop at the finish line.
