300 M or 150 M

Ride Description

Ride Across Iowa in a Day (RAID) is an annual race across the State of Iowa. The route chosen for RAID 2019 is about 330 miles in length, from Sioux City to Dubuque. In response to public interest, we have also created two RAID Half rides, for those wanting to participate in RAID but not yet ready to tackle the full 330 miles.

To clarify, we differentiate between these events as follows:

  • RAID Full – 330 miles, from Sioux City to Dubuque
  • RAID Half AM – 148 miles, from Sioux City to Webster City
  • RAID Half PM – 182 miles, from Webster City to Dubuque

Riders MUST wear helmets and must obey all Iowa traffic laws. This includes stopping at all stop signs and red lights.

Rider & Personal Support Vehicle

If you plan to participate in RAID, you will need to arrange your own vehicle support. RAID will have a limited number of support staff on course, but you should not count on these being your only form of support during the race. It is strongly encouraged that each rider, or group of riders, have their own vehicle support system.

Rest Stops

There will be five official rest stops with food and water along the way, and a rest stop at the finish line.
